Attractions

Future Park is located in a picturesque and beautiful area whose history is connected with one of the first—and later one of the most famous—Soviet-era collective farms, “Nākotne,” which was established here in the mid-20th century. Within its 50-hectare territory, industrial heritage blends with the natural landscapes characteristic of the Zemgale region, creating a unique environment that inspires, educates, and offers relaxation for visitors of all generations.

Currently, the Future Park area features several tourist attractions that provide both educational and emotionally rich, inspiring experiences. Everyone can find something suitable—an opportunity to look behind the scenes of well-known food production, travel back in time by trying Soviet-era machinery, step into the role of a pilot, or simply enjoy peaceful relaxation in a scenic setting.

Ever-Present Industrial Heritage

Although the buildings of the former “Nākotne” collective farm are not separate tourist attractions, they are an essential part of the Future Park identity. As visitors explore the park’s территории, they help preserve an authentic connection to the site’s history. During экскурсии, it is possible to see a granary built in the 1930s, as well as a hay barn that houses a unique Soviet-era engineering solution—24-meter-long laminated wooden beams—and other objects. According to calculations by engineer Ivars Lakšs, the beams of the former hay barn were specially manufactured at the “Agrokoks” factory and delivered готовыми to “Nākotne” by tractors. Today, helicopters are stored in the former hay barn.
