Childhood memories for some, new revelations for others!

The retro motorcycle collection consists of more than 40 vintage pieces of machinery – mopeds, motorcycles, minibikes and bicycles – from the days when the grass was greener and a moped, also known as a splash, was almost every boy’s dream. Come and see retro mopeds, motorcycles and bicycles to delight your eyes and warm your heart or just to reminisce!

The collection includes almost all production vehicles of the Riga motor factory “Sarkana zvezda”. These include the Riga 1, which, after successful test runs, began series production in 1961. In 2010, the first new models were launched, the “Gauja” and the “Riga-13”, “Riga-16” and “Riga-22”. The collection also includes the last models produced until the factory closed in 1998 – the then stylish and powerful mini bikes “Stella” and “Delta”.

Alongside Latvian moped models, there are also exclusive, rare Czech mopeds Jawa 551 Sport 50cc, Jawa Stadion S22 and Jawa 555, the first Soviet off-road motorcycles TULA and vintage bicycles, including the Erenpreiss motorbike and the postmen’s favourite 30. Latvello bicycle, made in the 1970s. All exhibits are original!
